Sorry to make a donation post but my girlfriend is in a bit of a pickle. She came to visit me on June the 15th, and was set to leave back to Africa on July the 10th. While she had her tickets booked for that day, she still needed a way to get to New York.

She booked tickets from where I’m at to NY for about $300 bucks originally, but the night before she was set to fly they cancelled. That was the SECOND time they cancelled and tried to rebook her. It wouldn’t have worked at all, because it was through a different airline than the international flight which also couldn’t be rebooked, and was much more expensive. She’ll get a refund eventually, but it will take time, and the kicker is that she needed a flight STAT. If she had missed it, her visa would’ve been fucked. Seeing as she wants to live her eventually it would’ve been pretty awful.

The only flight that was available at the time, just hours before her big cross Atlantic flight, came to about $750 dollars.

My parents had to spot her, and now she owes them. She’s broke, does commissions and spotty remote work, and I’m broke as hell too, so I can’t help out. I’m actually only 20 bucks above my overdraft limit rn.

I know a lot of you are in similar financial straits so I understand if you can’t donate, but even a dollar helps! The exchange rate between our currencies is insane so it’s twice of an issue for her. Since she owes them USD, and they’re my parents, she gave me the OK to post my donation links so we cut out the middle man! And if you can’t help, pls boost this!
